JUNE 16, 2020 - CENTRAL CITY - FINALLY AND ASHERS RECOVERY

Sleeping in the hospital is not my favorite. But, I didn't want Asher to be alone so I grabbed my night mask and my ear plugs and did my best to get some sleep.  Asher on the other hand slept great.  Besides the regular nurse visits in the middle of the night, he slept like a rock.  He had his IV giving him all kinds of fluids and he was in heaven. When he woke up he was back to his funny self.  Still super slow because of the concussion but definitely  better.  Turns out that he does have a stress fracture in his collar bone and multiple sprained joins around his shoulder.  OOF.  I have to thank all of you who text and called me to make sure Asher was OK.  Thank you for your prayers and for your encouraging words.  He and I felt loved and blessed.  After Asher ate 2 breakfasts :) and  passed his cognitive test, we were discharged.  It was about 11 am.  Asher wanted to visit the jumps where he fell.  Scotty and I took him over to the BMX park and we all walked around to say bye to the fun and not so fun experience that we had there. It was kid of a way to pay respects to the jumps and have a bit of closure for Asher.  Then when we went back to the church that the trailer was parked at. We immediately put Asher to bed to keep him resting.  Graham and I packed up the trailer while Scotty worked.    Then when Scotty had a break in work, we left Frisco.

This is the area behind the church that we stayed at while Asher was in the hospital.  I truly believe that Heavenly Father blessed us through this trial. We had the perfect place to camp out while Asher got the care he needed. And, the kids had a blast there. There is this beautiful grove of trees that the locals call the Sacred Grove;). There is also a river that runs through the grove. The kids had so much fun playing in the water and exploring the grove.

A super cute family came and brought their bikes to the church.  All the kids rode and played and ate watermelon together.

Stunning!!!!

After an hour of traveling we arrived at our KOA in Central City.  Oh my amazing!!  This KOA is our favorite.  It is surrounded by beautiful mountains full of evergreen trees.  And it has so many fun games we can play as a family.  Even Asher came out at one point to swing with us and torture Pepper.

We drove through the Eisenhower  Tunnel.  I was driving. It was super long and an experience I wanted to have!!!
Some of the views we had while driving up

Graham bought everyone a chocolate taco ice cream :)

This was my project when we got here.  The garage was a mess because the wardrobe broke and all the clothes were everywhere.  I'm so glad that we had 2 rolls of gorilla tape:)  Man that stuff is awesome. I fixed that wardrobe up in no time:)  Then I had to finish organizing everything.  I know it looks like a mess but its an organized mess;)

Our beautiful backyard for a week!!!!
