Sunday and Monday in Ventura

SUNDAY                                                                                                                           Sunday was so beautiful in Ventura. We started off with a bit of a surprise. We decided to try our washer/dryer combo because with 6 people laundry sure piles up. Well, the unit decided to leak all over.  It  backed up during the spin cycle and the water filled the wall behind it. Oops.  That is a big no no. Fortunately, we made friends with a really cool family there.  They knew just what to do.  They came over and helped us open up everything and dry it all out.  Once it all cleared up we were able to flush the drain. We saw 2 huge clumps come out while we flushed it.  Hopefully next time we use the unit it won't make our garage a pool.    After all the excitement of the washer, we were able to have our Sacrament meeting.  Then we decided to take a family walk to the beach since we were right there.  The beach was beautiful.

The kids loved the freedom to ride bikes all over the park.

Our cute new friends that saved our garage!! The Matsikas Family.

Taj got a nice scatch. He didn't even cry.  It was bleeding all over.

Saying goodbye was hard for these two cuties

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Our walk to the beach.

                                                                   True LaBass love!!!!!!!

We have 3 US maps to check off as we go  We are nuts!!!!

The kids always seem to find the crazy places that they can do bike jumps.  Count on them to find the most dangerous things to do.

MONDAY                                                       We woke up Monday morning and I went for a 7 mile run along the beach. It was a beautiful morning.  Then we packed up and prepared to leave.  Our campsite was a pull-through but the way the sites are all set up made it impossible for us to drive straight out.  We had to back out.  It was a nightmare.  Our trailer is 44 feet long.  Scotty and I are still learning how to back the beast out.  As we started backing out 2 guys came over to help us.  I'm so glad they did. They were so helpful.  It took us about an hour to finally get out because we had to back out and make 2 turns while backing. They were both super tight turns.  I'm sure that by the time we are done with this trip we will be professionals.  If not then we will have failed :)
