GoodBye Simi!!! Hello Vegas!!!!

Today we said goodbye to Simi Valley and all our loved ones.    The hardest thing ever was saying goodbye to everyone. I hated watching my kids cry because they were so sad to leave their friends.  I tried to explain that we will be back and that this is only a year. But the truth is, a year for them is really long. A year for Scotty and I is really fast these days.  So after many tears we were able to finish packing up the house and set off on our Skateparcation Across The Nation!!!!  I have to give a special thank you to our neighbors the Biglin family.  They helped us so much the last few days.  They helped us pack up and they brought us dinner like 3 times.  I feel like Heavenly Father sent them to us to make our load lighter.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Our first day of our Road Trip!!!  We had planned to leave by 6 am so naturally we left at 1:30pm.  Good for us.  Our truck was in the shop until then so at that point we had to just shake our heads and laugh.  There was nothing we could do about the truck.  It had to get an alignment done before we left. So finally at 1:30 we pulled away.  The drive was surprisingly so easy. We hit hardly any traffic - due to the fast that Vegas isn't open. Usually when you drive to Vegas on a Friday from CA it takes twice as long. We drove all the way to Baker and were so excited to meet up with our friends the Reeve's family, who were making the trek back to Simi after a fun week of camping.   We parked our rigs next to each other and had a few minutes to catch up and roast in the hot windy day!!!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The Rigs!!!!
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     The Reeves and us!!!

We drove into Sams town KOA around 8:45.  Its a good thing too, the office closed at 9.  The drive in was super easy. This KOA is so spacious.  Much better then the campground in Ventura.  We pulled through with ease into our spot.  Then spent time setting up. It was a late night for us. We went to bed around 12 ish.

We had 2 casualties today.  This clothes hanger thingy broke on our drive over.  I guess I should have expected that.  It is a super cheap and not study thing.  So I got on Amazon and ordered a strong one.  We should get it in St. George.
The second casualty was Asher's finger.  Taj slammed it in the door.  Oof.  Poor Asher.  He will live :) Taj felt so bad.
