SUNDAY JUNE 6, 2020- MOUNTAIN MEADOW MASSACRE AND SNOW CANYON STATE PARK

                                      Happy Sunday!!!!  This morning we had our home church with my parents at their house.  We did our own Sacrament meeting then we did our studies in the Come Follow Me Manuel.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      My parents took us up towards Snow Canyon to a place called Mountain Meadow Massacre.  The story of this event is so sad.  Lots of misunderstandings. There was a super heavy feeling there but I just love what the church has done to show respect and love towards the victims and their families.                                                                    

In this field is where the wagons were all circled up and where the militia  surrounded them. We were able to walk around the area and imagine how the battle went down.   

                                        On our way back to my parents house we drove through Snow Canyon and enjoyed the lava tubes and all the lava rocks around.  then the coolest thing happened......  WE SAW A TURTLE CROSS THE ROAD!!!!!                                               

We stopped at the St George temple as well on our way back.  It is under construction so we didn't go on the grounds. 

                                                                                                  

Tomorrow is Asher's 16th birthday!!!!  Grandma made us dinner and brownies for Asher. Taj really enjoyed his food hahahahha

                                                                                      

            Now we have to go back to the trailer and pack it all up because we leave tomorrow.  

                                                                         

SATURDAY JUNE 6, 2020 2ND NATIONAL PARK - ZION

                                                   ZION NATIONAL PARK                                                                 Today we had the blessing of spending time in Zion National Park.  This place isn't just gorgeous, it is spiritual.  I found this quote from John Muir down below. "Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where Nature may heal and cheer and give strength to body and soul alike"  That is exactly how I felt being in Zions today.  Nature heals and gives strength.    As a family we enjoyed the beauty of Zions.  All the bus systems are not in operation right now. To get into the higher places to hike you have to be at the park around 5:30am. We got there at 7:30 so we stayed in the lower lot and hiked Watchman's. Still, so amazing. We will be back here in Zions later in our trip so we will do Angels Landing and the Narrows a different time. Enjoy the pictures of this angelic place.

                                                                                                                                                                           We all got our National Parks books stamped and bought some fun items to collect. Taj was especially excited about his snake.                                                                

                                                                                 After all our hiking the kids ran off and started playing in the river next to our parking lot.                                                                                                                                                                              

On our way back home we stopped and got our favorite shaved ice.  All the boys got shark attack!!!!  It had gummy sharks in it. 

Taj found this cute rock shop next to our shaved ice place.  The dude in the rock shop was so nice.  He have Taj a small rock as a keep sake.
